D40R and D40P Non-Contact Door Switches

Omron's D40R and D40P Non-Contact Door SwitchesOmron’s D40P series coded Hall effect non-contact switches monitor the status of guarding doors. This technology provides solid state outputs for increased longevity versus reed-style output or conventional keyed door switches. LED indicators offer a visual representation of operation status. There are plastic and 316 stainless steel versions available. Plastic versions offer good economy and are rated for IP67 environments. All stainless steel versions have mirror polish surfaces that are IP69K rated for high temperature and high-pressure water wash downs. Three varieties include standard, hygienic, and a special food type that can come in contact with food and be sanitized in place. Special food types have rear mounting holes suitable for food contact zones.

Omron’s D40R series RFID technology provides increased tamper resistance versus conventional keyed door switches and coded magnetic door switches. Basic (single) or unique (up to 32,000,000) coding is available. Plastic, IP69K-rated body styles make them suitable for high pressure cleaning and CIP/SIP processes in food and beverage applications. LED indicators support visualization of operation status. The LED also flashes to indicate the wrong actuator has been used and an attempt was made to bypass the safety protection.
